Had a very odd night last night. A sudden pain appeared across my right shoulder and chest. It was like I'd been kicked. :-( I went to bed with a couple of pills but woke at 04.00 still in pain. Decided to watch The West Wing and start my next DVD burning session. That finally completed today at around 14.00. By then the pain had gone. Most odd. Started watching the American version of The Office which The Brady Bunch had bought me for my birthday. Once it went 'off-plot' from the UK version it became hilarious. Very much recommended.

Tonight is Torchwood season two with Pete Oldestmate and I've got tomorrow off cos I'm tres busy.

Had a good day yesterday. Compered a Daniella Rossi concert and took Hull out to Dot Cotton as a birthday treat. A restful day awaits.

Lots of excellent work achieved today.

Got home and tried to create a simple animation. Gave up in frustration after two hours. The fact that I could have done it in twenty minutes with some software on an arcane RISC Operating System hasn't made me any happier. May now go down the pub and sulk. It's not progress. Grrr.

I'm 48 tomorrow.

Had a great night last night when [info]admanx's other half organised a meal for a gang of us to celebrate the clocks changinh.

Had a long day at the Factory today but it was enjoyable and quite productive.

Dilemmas tonight as Life, Murderland, Flashforward and a Channel Four doc all broadcast at the same time.

Up pretty early today and realised that I had to change hardly any clocks. Almost all the gadgetry had sorted itself out. Decided to be a cheeky boy and get through the last siz episodes of West Wing. Stunning stuff. Aaron Sorkin wrote 155 of the epsiodes in all the series. Incredible.

Up really early and went to celebrate Mrs Robinson's 50th birthday at the Crown Plaza hotel. A very different way to start a Saturday. Then I came home and met [info]admanx who was acomplete hero and did a shedload of DIY for me.

This afternoon was yet more West Wing and tonight is gonna be a quiet night in.

Just a short day at work today. In early for a meeting and then uploading sixteen films to the Telly system. Home for lunch and then a nice time in the afternoon whilst having tea with Andy Fisherman. The Avid lady hasn't got back to my email yet but I remain hopeful.

Who, Question Time and Russell Howard on the box tonight as well as a Lovefilm rental.

A huge amount of learning After Effects today as well as rendering and Squeezing files. Should get them all uploaded tomorrow. Came home at around 16.00 today and started upgrading my Avid NLE software. It all began to go terribly wrong yet all I did was follow the instructions. I sent a message to them and someone has already responded. Hopefully it'll get sorted soon.

Luckily 'Midnight' was tonight's repeated Who. It's one of my favourite episodes. [info]_euclid_ is coming over later for a cuppa and True Blood is on too.

In other news I met [info]new_brunette in the Factory today. Top.

Been full of cold today so decided to start watching The West Wing which Mrs Robinson lent me. I watched six episodes in a row. Absolutely brilliant.

Murderland starts tonight on ITV1 and Flashforward continues on Five. Feel very under the weather so a telly day like this is great.

A nice lazy day today. Had a big pot of tea to start me off and continued reading Graeme Harper's book about directing Doctor Who. I think he directed the Agatha Christie episode which is being repeated tonight so that'll get another watch.

Also watched Live And Let Die. Such a change from the way modern Bond films are constructed.

Had a great night last night but did get a bit broken. Woke today and watched Synth Britannia. A spendid documentary which evoked a whole shedload of memories. In the afternoon Mr Patak and Sally Sparrow came over for a cuppa which was nice.

A quiet night in is planned.
